Ooooh, we like her!!
Rebecca Hall is in talks to star opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 3.
The role became available yesterday after we reported Jessica Chastain officially withdrew her candidacy via Facebook.
Rebecca, known for her Golden Globe nominated Vicky Christina Barcelona performance in 2008, would be an interesting addition to an already stellar cast.
RDJ, Guy Pearce, Don Cheadle, and Gwyneth Paltrow are already committed and we have good reason to suspect Sir Ben Kingsley will make Tony Stark’s life hell as the evil genius Mandarin.
We’re as bummed as you that ScarJo won’t be making an appearance but we’re still SUPER stoked to see how the third installment plays out with all these new variables:
Jon Favreau was replaced by Shane Black — the dude who brought us Lethal Weapon — as the writer/director.
And we have to assume this film will have six tons of accompanying expectations after the unprecedented success of Avengers.
We hope there’s no performance anxiety!!
